Box Office Concept - Deadline's Most Profitable Blockbusters of 2019
- The 50-40-25 Rule Works
- The 40% Rule is closer to the 45% rule
- Box Office makes up about 75% of total revenue, Home Media + TV makes up 25%
- Marketing Costs - $100-150M for Worldwide with China, $70-100M for any major studio, $50M for US focused films / smaller studios
- The 2.5x rule for Print and Advertising cost works out for Box Office costs ($100 Budget + $140 Advertising). But many films need Home Entertainment revenue to break even.
